This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on cookedapps.com. It covers this website only — our apps don't use cookies, and what they do with your data is covered in the Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. They let a site recognise your browser on a later visit. Sites can also save small values in your browser's local storage, which works in a similar way but is never sent to a server.
2. Analytics Cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit the site, which pages they look at and how they got here. This helps us see which apps people are interested in.
Whether these cookies are on by default depends on where you are:
- UK, European Economic Area and Switzerland: analytics cookies are off until you choose. When you first visit, we ask whether you accept them. Until you click Accept, Google Analytics isn't loaded at all: nothing is sent to Google and none of the cookies below are set.
- Everywhere else: analytics cookies are on by default. You can turn them off at any time with the Cookie settings button below.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a Reject wherever you are, and Google Analytics isn't loaded.
We work out your country from your IP address using our hosting provider, Cloudflare. We don't store your IP address. If we can't tell where you are, we assume you're in a country that needs consent. We use Google Consent Mode, with advertising storage and ad personalisation always denied.
When analytics is on, Google Analytics sets these first-party cookies:
When analytics is on, we also record a few events, such as clicks on the App Store and Google Play buttons. We don't use Google Analytics for advertising, and we don't combine this data with anything that identifies you personally.
Google processes this data under its own terms. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also opt out of Google Analytics on every website with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
3. Browser Storage
The site saves a few small values in your browser's storage. They're strictly necessary for the features you use, never leave your device and aren't used for tracking, so they don't need consent:
4. Third-Party Content
Our pages load web fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser requests them from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address, but no cookies are set. Links to the App Store, Google Play, Instagram and TikTok take you to those services, which have their own cookie policies.
We don't use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels or cross-site tracking.
5. Changing Your Mind
You can change your choice at any time. If you turn analytics off, we stop loading Google Analytics and delete its cookies from your browser.
You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser's settings. The site still works without them — you'll just need to pick your theme again, and, if you're in the UK, EEA or Switzerland, we'll ask about cookies again. Most browsers explain how in their help pages:
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy if the cookies we use change. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page.
